Responsible for integrating hardware engineering and software design theories and principles in researching, designing and developing product hardware and software interfaces to form a compatible system.
Provides networking capabilities between products. Designs and defines system requirements for complex systems and / or prepares studies and analyzes existing systems.
Determines system architecture specifications, input / output processes, and working parameters for hardware / software compatibility.
Principal Accountabilities :
Leads the analysis, requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and integration of software features, and software management, integration and validation activities.
Leads the implementation and integration of software solutions in accordance with defined roadmap and plan.
Analyzes business requirements, processes, data, and software integration points to determine appropriate technology solutions.
Evaluates and recommends software and hardware solutions to meet business needs.
Defines technology solutions, based on business needs, which require complex analysis and in-depth evaluations of industry standards / technologies and complex business / systems processes.
Responsible for the deployment of technical accuracy and completeness of integrated software designs.
Provides input on product source, internally versus externally.
Evaluates development partners / vendors and integration models. Defining Statements of work and providing input on partner contracts.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Comp Engineering or related field of study plus 6 years of experience in the job offered or 6 years experience as a BIOS Manager, Software Development Manager, Subject Matter Expert or Software Engineer Consultant.
Alternatively, the employer will accept a MS + 4 years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s + 6 years experience.
Requires demonstrated knowledge of systems management and security.
Experience with Intel Manageability, Security and Virtualization Solutions including Intel vPro, Intel AMT, Intel TxT, Intel VT, Intel ISH.
Experience with Broadcom TruManage, DASH, Trusted Platform Module (TPM) & Trusted Cryptology Module (TCM) .
Demonstrated experience driving the development, test and integration of code for new or existing software of significant complexity involving multiple teams.
Demonstrated experience providing the review, analysis and closed-loop corrective action for issues contributing to software defects and business process problems using Fishbone Analysis, 6-Sigma Analysis, FMEA & DOE.
Demonstrated experience working globally with vendors and suppliers to deliver products or platforms with these tech.
