THE ROLE :
Senior Platform Application Engineer is responsible for technical customer support of AMD processors focused on NB, DT, and Workstation markets.
Role requires strong technical skill and business acumen to successfully engage customers and partners alike to jointly define develop and deploy products.
Role requires both software and hardware development and debugging skills in support of design and validation efforts, generation of technical documentation and communication with PM, Business Units, and customers to negotiate and drive the right solution.
THE PERSON :
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Provide guidance to ODM / OEM customers on properly integrating AMD solution into customer designs. Guidance consists of architecture reviews, schematic reviews, design-in support and training customers on product features.
Analyze, debug, & root cause issues found with AMD processor enabled platform and work with appropriate AMD internal teams to provide a solution.
Creating competitive analysis from a technical and business perspective, developing and presenting technical product training materials, participates in customers visits, and assist with presentations.
Individuals should have the ability to act as technical experts, consultants, analysts and even program managers.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE :
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS :
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering of relevant experience in the areas of computer system (or Masters Degree in related field of relevant experience).
