About Role :
Lenovo’s Data Center Group is hiring a server performance validation engineerto support its mission, helping Lenovo product becomes competitive among thecompetitors in view of benchmark results and performance tuning.
The engineer will engage in studying of product’s specification and availabletechnical document from suppliers or industry standard forum.
With thisknowledge, the engineer is expecting to interlock with internal team membersand world-wide teams across the global for the execution of performancevalidation testing and tuning.
The engineer is also expecting to work with ODM and formulating a plan thatvalidates and cover all aspects of performance related hardware and softwarefeatures in according to the marketplace.
The engineer will also able to work independently and validate ODM’s resultinternally. Using analytic skill, the engineer is expecting to investigate andclose out the bugs that arise during validation cycle.
The engineer will need to communicate the status and progress and deliverableto supervisor. At the closing out of the project, the engineer will need tohave the ability to document and publish the paper to help out sales group ingive them better understanding of our system.
In find note, the engineer wouldneed to investigate and debug performance related issue from the customer.
The majority of KPI of this engineer is measured by the timely deliverable ofserver performance validation result and publication.
Position Requirements :
To have worked in the ODM or benchmark agency for a least 3 years engagingin project-like environment which hit a milestone on target and debug issuesare critical.
To have at least 5 years of experience conducting the industry-widerecognizable benchmark such as SPECcpu, SPECjbb, SPECpower, and SPECvirt is aplus.
To have at least 5 years of experiencing utilizing software tools such asPerftest RPM, Netperf, NetPIPE, iperfor, or IOMeter for performancemeasurement is a plus.
To have at least 5 years of experience in operating server’s networking,storage, CPU, and memory installation and update its firmware and driver.
To have at least 5 years of experience dealing with x86 architecturecomputer system and prevalent Linux NOS and scripting capability such as RHEL,SUSE, and VMware.
To have at least 5 years of experience documenting technical finding fromself-study / testing / debugging and formulate these know-
how and knowledgeinto status report or document for stakeholders to reference.
To have at least 5 years of experience working under the environment whereweekly status report and weekly interlock meeting exists.
In addition,engaging with customer over field issue in relate to performance.
To have at least 5 years of experience of server / HBA / switch / storagesetup and configuration
Showing strong interest in reading of industry news and root causing findingis a plus.
Possessing of attributes of patience and flexibility to adjust in diversebusiness environment is a plus.
Having TOEIC above 800 scoring or English equivalency bachelor or masterdegree is a plus.
