As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will be part of the Motion (M) Business and Motors and Generators Business Line (BL), based in Kaohsiung Taipei City and Taichung.

ABB is the World leader in Motion (M) Business offering a wide range of products and services including drives, motors, generators and robots.

Key applications include energy conversion, actuation, automation, standardized manufacturing cells for applications such as machine tending, welding, cutting, painting, finishing, palletizing and packing, and engineered systems for the automotive industry.

You will be responsible for the sale of cutting-edge ABB in IEC LV Motors Product Group / Motors and Generators Business Line (BL) / Motion (M) Business in Kaohsiung Taipei City and Taichung / Taiwan country / NAS region.

Reporting to the BL manager, you will be responsible for sales within MO product (Drive & Motor) in accordance with strategy.

Build long term customer relationships and manage resolution to specific customer needs and issues. Identify and develop sales opportunities.

Your responsibilities

  • Sell products / systems / services to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets for assigned Business Units / Product Groups.
  • Establish and maintain effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promote Customer understanding of full product / systems / services offering, and align to provide a solution.
  • Ensure a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.

  • Prepare sales plans using company tools. Perform regular status reviews and proposes recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls.
  • Create added value for the customer / ABB and ensure the successful outcome of transactions, contract and proposals by using effective sales techniques.
  • Communicate details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy (delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions).

  • Prepare offers in coordination with the sales support. Ensure appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions.

  • Your background

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above, major in Chemical or Electrical Engineering or IT background is preferred.
  • Experience in Automation or Electrical Sales experience in Industries is an added advantage.
  • Good knowledge of ABB products / systems.
  • Able to integrate different products into one solution to customer.
  • Significant sales drive focus energy to achieve and close profitable deals.
  • Ability to push himself / herself to develop in line with the changes in the organization.
  • Excellent skills in Customer relations, show a mature selling behavior and actively drives discussions and negotiations to the benefit of the business with customers.
  • Good knowledge in contract and risk management.
