Job Description :
The Product Development Manager calls for an individual who will be responsible for managing engineering projects to ensure successful launch on time, on budget, and with high quality.
This individual will lead multiple small to large programs from concept through First Supplier Ship, as well as any Firmware Service Pack deliverables and follow Belkin’s Product Development life cycle.
The job involves frequent interaction with internal cross-functional team members, division executive staff members, partners and vendors, sales account teams and occasionally, end customers.
The work scope will include, but is not limited to, managing programs from design, execution, test activities, product introduction, and post product delivery support.
The individual will have broad responsibilities in managing moderate sized programs that involve team members from all disciplines.
The person must possess the ability to promote collaborative decision-making, provide direction and establish a sense of urgency in the program team.
Must be able to objectively evaluate risks to program objectives and be comfortable making difficult decisions, as well as deal with a certain degree of ambiguity and is also capable of making sound business decisions with minimal guidance.
The person must work with engineering development leads to assess the resource availability and loading for the projects being managed.
