Job Description and Requirements
Responsible for the sales of the key portfolio products of either the Discovery or Galaxy product families. Matrix connections to the Core EDA Sales group and the EAM’s.
Develops strategic products sales strategies and helps the account teams implement them to accelerate and grow sales opportunities.
Responsible for driving tools and solutions sales based on the assigned key portfolio products, coordinating and delivering competitive selling material out to the field, and disseminating the best selling strategies across teams within the region.
Experience in technical selling and / or supporting technical sales, e.g., field applications engineering with relevant Synopsys knowledge.
Demonstrates a good understanding of IC and software design and development flows. Has knowledge of the complete sales process, strong communication skills, and the ability to interact with Engineering and Financial staff at all levels.
Able to grasp complex technical data and to communicate to a broad range of technical and non-technical people.
Typically requires a minimum of 5+ years of related experience. Possesses a full understanding of specialization area plus working knowledge of multiple related areas.
Independently resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways on a regular basis. Customarily exercises independent judgment in selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutions.
Performs in project leadership role. Contributes to complex aspects of a project. Determines and develops approach to solutions.
Work is independent and collaborative in nature. Provides regular updates to manager on project status. Represents the organization on business unit and / or company-
wide projects. Guides more junior peers with aspects of their job. Frequently networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
