The Technical Global Account Manager (GAM) reports to the Global AccountsBusiness and is responsible for establishing the company’s technology visionand engagements with customer executive level to one of Lenovo’s key customersin Taiwan.
The Technical GAM acts similarly to a Chief Technical Officer andChange Agent for this critical partnership, playing an integral role in itsstrategic direction, development, and future growth.
This individual will alsocarry responsibility for driving worldwide revenue, profit, and customersatisfaction for this strategic client globally, by managing and maintainingaccount relationships through senior level engagements for Lenovo’s entiresolution portfolio.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Customer Executive engagement, delivering a world class Customer Experience
Monitor technology and social trends that could impact the partnership,communicating the company's technology strategy to the client.
Participate in management decisions about joint GTM and identifyopportunities and risks for the business.
Provide technical guidance and leadership to the clients in the creation anddelivery of technology solutions
Lead and develop proposals for client projects, orchestrating the deepestlevel of product and technology-specific expertise available to customersleveraging Lenovo’s full capabilities.
Able to create Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis for various solutionofferings to demonstrate the solution value. Increases the company share ofwallet through competitive takeout, demonstrating technical superiority, andleveraging other company services for better TCO
Assesses the impact of new technologies on the company’s technical solutionportfolio and translates this understanding into practice and customerknowledge sharing
Utilize a structured and repeatable business process to enable strategic andaccurate pipeline management.
Collaborate across Lenovo’s fast paced and highly matrixed organization
Indirectly manage other sales and support professionals
Position Requirements :
Position Requirements : Formal Education & Certification
University degree in the field of computer science, business administration,or another rigorous discipline.
An advanced degree or industrial certification is a plus.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
15 20 years of IT experience, either as technology provider or end user.Regional & Global experience is an advantage.
Minimum of 10 years of customer facing technical sales experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills
Successful track record of supporting the closure of business with technicalconsultancy
Experience in using consultative sales techniques and able to articulate thetechnical value proposition to the customer
Strong personal leadership, with proven sales and technical credibility
Ability to work collaboratively with employees within the sales function andacross functions including Marketing, Sales, Product Marketing and ProductDevelopment
Proven leadership ability and ability to work in complex matrixorganization.
Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Exceptionally self-motivated and directed.
Keen attention to detail.
