Software Development Engineer
THE ROLE :
Work with kernel driver developers to understand test requirements and improve test coverage continuously
Work with latest Display Technologies to help improve display interoperability and SW feature quality with AMD products
THE PERSON :
Fluent in C or C++
Command line and bash scripting knowledge
Understanding of Windows Services and how they work
Enthusiastic about test automation and test coverage
Solid problem solving skills executed as a highly motivated self-starter
Ability to work collaboratively and independently while managing multiple projects, assignments and responsibilities
Excellent communication skills
Enjoys working in an agile team environment
Familiarity working with QT
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Design, create, manage and maintain test cases and test plan for new SW features, new products (dGPU and APU) and new OS(Linux and Windows)
Define / develop / execute display test and automated test, tracking test results and reproducing, trouble shooting, and triaging of SW defects
Design, implement and maintain display test automation infrastructure
Design and write test automation scripts to automate test cases and enable overnight testing
Writing new and improving existing display test tools and reporting tools
Maintain system stability and improve system processes to help make things easier and more intuitive for driver developers
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE :
Experience working with Python
Experience working with JIRA, Git and Jenkins infrastructure
Background in test automation
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS :
Bachelor in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent. Master degree preferred
