Position Description :
The Manager of Hardware Engineering is a leadership position withresponsibility to provide support and lead team through ISG server developmentexecution.
In this role, suitable candidate will manage and develop a team ofengineers and TPMs based in Taipei, empowering team to design and supportLenovo single socket server products throughout product life cycle.
Projectsare typically longer-term, multi-functional with complex requirements andeffort. This role also involves project resources planning, schedules andbudget control, status update and communication cross company.
This work mayalso involve identifying and improving process and program efficiencies. Youwill have the opportunity to make an impact on the products we develop andbuild a top class engineering team.
Oversee hardware product development through the entire life cycle
Work with team on developing schedules, budget, resource plan, criticaldeliverables, and other support requirements for assigned projects.
Drive decisions and ensure standardized product development processes isfollowed
Work closely with operations, manufacturing, testing, FW and common teams
Identify and highlight issues and prevent resource constraints before theyhappen
Develop team technical skills as part of continual growth
Development team members by defining expectations, and providing timely andspecific feedback
Identify mentorship opportunities and coordinate training and professionaldevelopment for your team.
Position Requirements :
8+ years of industry experience with 2+ years of management experience
Direct experience with hardware design on server products
Successful completion of multiple server products, with direct experienceshipping products in volume
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English andlocal language
Ability to effectively communicate program plans, proposals, and results, andnegotiate options at senior management levels.
Experience leading a team of engineers and also acting as a technicalcontributor in design reviews and decisions
Deep knowledge in one or more technical topics
Past experience with ODM or CM models of product development
Bachelor's or Master's (preferred) degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences,or equivalent.
