Taiwan Procurement Manager

SUMMARY OF POSITION :

A candidate is report to Taiwan Supply Chain & Procurement Leader and dotted line report to APAC Procurement Leader. This role is mainly responsible for country (Taiwan) category sourcing of Marketing and IT and manages both direct materials and in-

direct materials, services and consumables managed within the country, as well as TW consumer business and achievement of annual procurement target.

  • Work with team members to develop and implement a pipeline of opportunities with the goal of achieving savings, improvement in payment terms to increase days payable outstanding (DPO) and reduce the cash conversion cycle (CCC).
  • This role is also required to work with regional category leaders to ensure APAC regional programs / strategies are aligned with priorities and expectations.

  • For both direct and indirect purchases ensure that the county category strategies are developed that are aligned with regional procurement as well as meet the needs of the country business stakeholders.
  • These strategies should address elements of delivering on cost, quality and service for the country as well as address the area of risk assessment and mitigation.

    The role requires developing strong and influential relationship with internal stakeholders in country, especially with the country Managing Director and local suppliers by translating business requirements into procurement strategy and quantitative and qualitive values.

    ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES :

  • Lead to execute regional / global strategy with best practices based on the market intelligence, analytic and communication with key internal stakeholders.
  • Lead contract development and its implementation / compliance
  • Ensure the country has a continuous improvement plan to improve P2P metrics year on year. Role model appropriate behaviours and ensure that K-
  • C policies and procedures and followed throughout procurement in the country. Act as a point of reference for any procurement staff on ethics and compliance.

    For these, drive best practices utilizing digital procurement tools as such K-C Marketplace, Global Spending Analysis, FORCE and ETQ.

  • Understand the capability and build up sourcing / communication skills and career aspirations of all team members. Ensure succession plans are in place for all critical roles.
  • Ensure a Personal Development Plan is developed for all team members. Act as a coach and mentor as required. Develop plans to improve engagement scores in key surveys.

    WORKING CONDITIONS :

  • Travel up to 20% of the work time.
  • Role is based in Taiwan head office Taipei
  • QUALIFICATIONS :

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, typically science or engineering related or significant quality management experience.
  • Multiple years of experience in a CPG procurement role.
  • Demonstrated management experiences within a complex, matrix or multiple business organization.
  • Working knowledge and experience with products requiring compliance to various regulatory or other technical requirements.
  • Strong leadership skills are prerequisite. This role needs an individual willing to find opportunities where never intervene as well as maintain recurring sourcing works for mills in proper procurement / corporate compliance, especially ability to lead and influence internal stakeholders and supplier relationship management.
  • Effective Communication - the candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be highly confident enough to engage in discussions with senior leaderships.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, typically science or engineering related or significant quality management experience.
  • Multiple years of experience in a CPG procurement role.
  • Demonstrated management experiences within a complex, matrix or multiple business organization.
  • Working knowledge and experience with products requiring compliance to various regulatory or other technical requirements.

  • Global VISA and Relocation Specifications :

    K-C requires that an employee have authorization to work in the country in which the role is based. In the event an applicant does not have current work authorization, K-

    C will determine, in its sole discretion, whether to sponsor an individual for work authorization. However, based on immigration requirements, not all roles are suitable for sponsorship.

    This role is available for local candidates already authorized to work in the role’s country only. K-C will not provide relocation support for this role.
