In this role, you will work on Chrome OS, an open source and lightweight operating system designed for speed, simplicity and security, and Chromebooks, a newer, faster computer running Chrome OS as its operating system.

Work on Chromebooks, Chromeboxes and other devices running Chrome OS.
Participate in various system software projects including OS kernel, firmware, audio, video, graphics, performance, camera, input and factory manufacturing solutions.
Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and enhance new products and features using your technical expertise.
Minimum qualifications :
BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in C / C++ programming.
Experience in the field of computer science, with experience in data structures, algorithms and software design.
Experience with key concepts in computer architecture and Linux system programming.
Preferred qualifications :
MA / MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience with Linux kernel and device drivers.
Experience in one or more of following : embedded systems, chipset bring-up, multimedia, browser development, camera algorithm / image quality, ISP (3A and image restoration / enhancement algorithms) development or video encoding / decoding.
Ability to speak and write in English fluently and idiomatically.
Ability to travel as required.
