As a Firmware Engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our business grows and evolves.

You will be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward.

You'll develop the whole software stack for future smarter android devices. You will also help architect, develop, test and deploy complex embedded consumer devices.

  • Design, implement and support Android Wireless Connectivity (e.g., Wi-Fi / Bluetooth) features for Pixel devices.
  • Address a variety of System on Chip (SoCs), and work with partners and vendors.
  • Investigate and address the root cause of firmware / software issues.
  • Minimum qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of relevant work experience, including development, testing and deployment of embedded systems.
  • Experience in C, C++ or Java programming.
  • Preferred qualifications :

  • Experience in Wi-Fi or Bluetooth / BLE areas.
  • Experience in Python / Shell script.
  • Experience with Unix / Linux environments and the development of Linux device drivers.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with application software development.
