Critical Tasks and Expected Contributions / Results :
Participate on product development committees and in a consulting capacity, provides required underwriting expertise on new product development initiatives.
Assess risk and provide guidance and advice of underwriting on complex applications; ensure underwriters adhere to their approved underwriting authority limits.
Develop reporting tools and logs to effectively track processing turnaround time, backlogs of unprocessed applications, measure the productivity.
Experience / Knowledge Requirements :
A minimum of 10 years of underwriting experience in Life, Disability, Group, Health or any other products and 5+ years in the administration and management of underwriting operations.
Demonstrate expert knowledge of risk appraisal, insurance products, and local insurance laws and regulations.
