The team members are subject matter experts in a wide array of cutting-edge technologies with a proven track record of designing and supporting portfolio-wide system designs that demonstrate an innovative approach to solving customer problems.
Dell is looking for bright and motivated engineers in the field of electrical and computer engineering to work on architecting and developing the next generation of computing servers.
As a member of this team, you will work across our server portfolio to create products based on the most advanced processors, chipsets, memory architectures, and I / O technologies.
You will collaborate with multiple teams including Embedded Firmware, Systems Management, Power, Board Design, Mechanical Engineering, Test, and Manufacturing to develop, debug, and deliver industry-leading PowerEdge servers that delight our customers.
Role Responsibility will include some of these items :
Focus on the design of the server platform particularly in memory, PCIe, CPLD / FPGA, system management, RAS and system architecture design.
Assist in the design review and debug of server platform on board designs including high-speed buses such as USB, SAS, SATA, SerDes, Ethernet, etc.
Work with the team during the bring-up and lab-validation phases of a new server platform design.
Write embedded system software and applications to develop internal utilities to automate the testing of a platform sub-system.
Provide technical design management and coordination across the Portfolio.
Provide hands-on Systems Engineering expertise when appropriate.
Assess, Manage, & Mitigate technology & process risks for new designs.
Prepare and present technical executive readouts on a regular basis.
Manage, debug, and resolve defects throughout the program from initial power on to mass production on area of ownership.
Review ODM and sub-tier vendor capability to support product development.
M.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering preferred.
8+ years’ experience in hardware or embedded system design, implementation, and debugging with processor, memory, and I / O subsystems.
Ability to make risk calls, priority decisions, and work through others
Strong organization and communication skills in a multi-discipline environment. Fluency in the English language.
