  • Objectives and Scope of Position :

    Purposes :

  • Responsible for franchise team set-up and the achievement of the agreed objectives (sales and investment budgets)
  • Drives alignment of the franchise team behavior in business with local law, company values and policies
  • Leads sales and marketing teams within the franchise team and fosters a productive work environment within the Unit and with cross functional team members (e.
  • g. Medical Manager, Market Access Manager, Finance Manager, etc.)

  • Oversees product promotion strategy and it’s alignment with the global strategy
  • Deploys human and financial resources within the franchise team to best meet business objectives
  • Identifies and pursues new business opportunities
  • Ensures the team’s compliance with business planning and SOPs
  • Recruit, attract, train, coach, develop and retain a high-performing team
  • Joint leadership of affiliate transformation with franchise leadership team by fostering an environment that promotes trust / transparency and customer centricity that inspires, motivates, and enables teams to adopt agile ways of working
  • Role model agile leadership behaviors
  • Outputs :

  • Achievement of quantitative and qualitative objectives set out for the franchise team within a specified time frame (usually calendar year).
  • Employee satisfaction and creation of a productive work environment in line with company values.

  • Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Sets the vision and the strategic direction (both short-term and long-term strategies.) for the launch of franchise team
  • Actively participates in the annual marketing planning process for the franchise products and challenges product teams for higher performance and innovation
  • Verifies that marketing plans are aligned with international strategy and implemented as agreed
  • Appropriately resources and organizes marketing and sales teams for their job
  • Ensures that this franchise team works seamlessly with all other relevant teams and gains strongest support from cross functional teams to overcome key hurdles and to grasp key business opportunities
  • Monitors performance on a continued basis vs. KPIs and targets and pursues corrective actions where necessary in a timely fashion
  • Maintains and nurtures professional relationships with key customers
  • Defines with PMT cycle meeting and training needs and implements them
  • Guarantees timely delivery of core processes / internal company requirements / systems
  • Transmits Roche values every day in every circumstance
  • Challenges and inspires the team’s employees
  • Develops employees and particularly direct reports and HIPOs through regular feed-back, by involving them in challenging projects and through adequate exposure to new experiences
  • Regularly and formally evaluates employee performance and development needs
  • Identifies conflicts and personnel issues and addresses them before they escalate and harm the business

  • Professional and Technical Requirements

    Education / Qualifications :

    Minimum : University degree or above (preferably in business or science)

    Experience, Skills, Knowledge

    1. Experience of 7+ years experiences in the Pharmaceutical Industry in various positions (of which at least 3 years in Product Management and 2 years in Sales Management, with launch experience being strongly preferred)

    2. 3+ years of experience in people management

    3. Strong track record of successful people management

    4. Track record of strong performance and commercial success in a complex and dynamic environment

    5. Fluent in written and spoken English (other languages are an asset)

    6. Good understanding of Pharma Industry in Taiwan

    7. Good knowledge of software applications

    8. Able to establish a strong network with internal and external stakeholders

    Other (Travel)

    National and international travel : Approximately 30 40 %
