Solution Specialist

Job Description

1. Looking for a well-rounded technology specialist to support business development activities alongside regional sales managers by owning vertical objectives that align with MediaTek internal business units with special focus on the Intelligent Device Business Group IDBG.

2. A successful candidate needs to be well versed in a number of consumer electronics (CE) product groups such as Media, IOT, STBs and in particular Connectivity and Networking consumer devices.

Telecom operators requirements understanding is plus.

3. The Solution Specialist will support regional sales managers understanding of the MediaTek business units’ SOC product propositions and jointly put revenue and strategic targets for each region based on qualitative and quantitative analysis of the size and scope of each market and the demand for end consumer or telco products that use these SOCs.

4. He / She will be responsible for creating competition-awareness at the sales team and when necessary develop specific competitive analysis for customer presentation.

5. He / She will handle telecom operators’ tenders and advise the rights solution.

6. H / She will needs to be on top of industry trends and prepare presentations to evangelize MediaTek’s technology in particular when the needed technical awareness level is higher than Sales team capabilities, this will be mostly done remotely but also personally for major customers.

7. He / She will be responsible for following up with regional sales managers for the new business pipeline in order to achieve his / her vertical objectives per BU product group.

Requirement 1. Passionate towards Technology and willing to understand and compare any new HW solution in a short time.

2. Proven experience in solutions consultancy or technical marketing role promoting similar products to MediaTek’s IDBG (intelligent connectivity and media devices, IOT, STB)

3. Excellent presentation skills and quick turnaround of product promotional material and competitive analysis.

4. Analytical thinking with excellent forecasting skills to help in scoping and sizing of markets and advising on product promotion strategies per country, OEM or operator.

5. Fluent of English and Chinese with a clear language and voice to work with wide number of nationalities in MEA and SEA region.
