Designs andplans layout for such processes as hardening, washing, laminating,etching, engraving, polishing, plating, and othermaterial-
processing operations. Plans sequence of operations andspecifies procedures for cutting, shaping, and otherwise preparingbasic material, exercising judgment in compromising betweenconflicting requirements, economic evaluation of methods, andoperator effectiveness and comfort.
Conducts tests and measurementsthroughout stages of production to determine control over suchvariables as temperature, density, specific gravity, pressure, andviscosity.
Establishes and submits processing requirements to bemet in designing and acquiring processing equipment. Followsstandard practices and procedure in analyzing situations or datafrom which answers can be readily obtained.
