Job Description

As a Director at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for the management and development of direct reports to enable superior functional service delivery.

You will be responsible for managing and improving functional area performance by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to build and execute service strategies aligned to corporate strategic objectives.

You will assist with improving individual capability by conducting performance appraisals with team members to create goals and development plans.

You will monitor performance metrics to identify and implement continual improvement opportunities. Other responsibilities include ensuring organizational compliance to company policies and regulations, as well as to departmental procedures, and providing organizational leadership for building and implementing department strategies, processes, and policy through active participation in functional teams and projects, as well as mentoring other functional leaders through collaboration and the development of sustainably successful solutions.

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Provide leadership for Facilities functions; develop a working relationship with Department Managers and encourage teamwork.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of standards, policies and procedures for the installation, modification, quality control, testing, inspection and maintenance of plant support systems.
  • Ensure that costs and budgets are developed and maintained for contracts, acquisition of equipment, operating materials and labor.
  • Execute the direction and action to support Site goals and Corporate goals.
  • Ensure that department learning and development opportunities are identified and fulfilled.
  • Ensure that staffing levels are efficient and adequate to maintain the Site.
  • Direct the operation of plant support systems in a way that will minimize the affect on production.
  • Interface with Corporate Management.
  • Interview and hire subordinates and contractors.
  • Manage contractor services, and oversee contract administration for those services.
  • Support EHS to develop safety and environmental training requirements and plans for all Site personnel
  • Ensure that the Site is maintained to provide a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Ensure every leader is conducting routine (ie. weekly) MBWA insuring all Facility Disciplines are being met.
