The Network Quality team’s global mission is to find, eliminate, and prevent risk in various forms across Yahoo’s ecosystem so that it can thrive as a top online destination for users, publishers, and advertisers.

  • We do the detective work to find fraudsters across millions of ads, sites, clicks, and payment instruments every day; we investigate and resolve complaints that arise when things go wrong;
  • and we partner with teams like Policy, Product, Engineering, Sales & Marketplace to improve our ability to find problems before they can erode the integrity of our advertising marketplace.

    You are a self-starter with writing or copy editing experience, preferably in media or advertising. You work effectively within high-

    energy cross-functional teams as well as independently. You have a passion for risk-detection and mitigation. You are detail-

    oriented, effective in written and interpersonal communication, analytical, and comfortable operating under deadlines in a production-

    oriented environment.Review new and modified ads for compliance to the Stream Ad policies in the Asian market, including image and landing page review for potential sensitive issuesCommunicate issues to advertisers and internal sales teams in a clear and concise manner to gain their understanding and prevent unnecessary follow-

    upsAnalyze output to identify patterns and issues that could be addressed by product and / or process changes; articulate these changes to multiple groups of stakeholdersDevelop and communicate best practices for advertisers and sales teamUse data to detect risky advertiser trends and implement processes to mitigate riskIdentify and suspend accounts that pose risk to YahooHandle ad review and policy escalations including appeals and internal complaints, and report on actions and trends associated to escalationsMinimum Qualifications : BA / BS degree in marketing, journalism, creative writing or a related field, or work experience that goes demonstrably beyond the minimum requirements detailed belowExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Traditional Chinese, as well as the ability to identify Simplified ChineseExperience working with emerging / developing ad productsExperience in an online marketing or editorial roleAbility to make logical and consistent judgments in policy and relevance mattersVerizon Media is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
