As a Mobile System Validation Software Engineer within the Consumer Hardware Engineering organization, you will work with multiple cross-functional teams on chip, firmware, kernel development, sub-system technology, and factory hardware test engineering to deliver Google’s next-generation of mobile devices.
You will study and understand how Google’s hardware devices work and develop targeted tests for each hardware functional block to validate its correct operations.
You will develop test commands, automation scripts, and test sequences / plans using hardware diagnostic or Android API (Application Programming Interface) within our in-house test design framework.
On our team, you will be responsible for hardware system validation and quality optimization of the next generation Google consumer devices.
This includes but not limited to providing validation requirements for internal and external stakeholders, identifying system risks and critical design parameters, developing and executing automation tools in a large scale, performing factory test failure analysis by collaborating with cross-functional teams in a rapid pace, performing system-level bringups and validation for ASICs (Application-Specific Integrated Circuits), and developing software tools for debugging and regression tests.
