Fab 1 Customer Engineering is responsible for the program management of customer new

product introduction and resolution of fab-centric problem situations that arise

during any phase of the customer product lifecycle. Customer Engineering is

responsible for the new customer product introduction (NPI) execution, and for

quick resolution of technical and occasional business issues that would prevent

growth in revenue, margin, and customer satisfactions for GLOBALFOUNDRIES Fab 1.

responsibilities include :

  • Lead or otherwise contribute to cross-functional working
  • teams to secure on-time shipment of good-quality customer material during the

    NPI and other customer product life cycle phases

  • Transform customer requests / complaints into actionable
  • problem statements and negotiating commitment from responsible individuals and

    teams. Follow-up on actions to completion, documenting these using systems,

    e.g. SmartSheet. Coordinate cross functional activities to provide adequate


  • Align, coordinate & conduct customer communications
  • using the Channel Model disciplined methodology

  • Plan and facilitate regular and special case customer
  • meetings, planning agenda, sending invitations, following up on presentation

    preparations, documenting actions, and following up on actions &


  • Improve effectiveness of customer interfaces (such as but
  • not limited to customer requests, meetings, visits, complaints and feedbacks)

    with timely closed-loop responses. Plans and conducts effective meetings with

    well-planned agenda

  • Establish trusted relationships with customers, sales, field
  • engineering, production planning, integration, process modules, bump & test

    facilities, and other stakeholders that influence successful outcomes of

    customer projects & programs

  • Communicate and secure customer decision regarding process
  • changes (PCRB) or material review (MRB) in alignment with key stakeholders and

    established decision making processes. Ensure established cycle time

    requirements are met

  • Contribute to synergy and consistency across geographically
  • dispersed customer accounts by utilizing common roles / responsibilities and

    business processes

  • Prepare and provide written and oral status updates
  • regarding key customer programs on a weekly basis

    Required Qualifications :

  • Masters / BS / Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or related field or relevant education and several years of working experiences
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken
  • Foundry work experience in customer-facing responsibilities (3-5 years); preference for experience working with Asia based customers
  • Long lasting years' experience in various semiconductor technical roles
  • Possess strong leadership qualities, system and creative problem solving skills
  • Customer-friendly, personable and communicative
  • Proactive, outgoing and energetic
  • Mature, decisive and discerning
  • Experience developing recommendations to put forth to senior
  • leadership and executives for approval

  • Communication and Collaboration : Skilled at communicating complex customer program status information concisely in both orally and in
  • written form; skilled presenter.

  • Comfort level of working in a global, multi-cultural business environment
  • Structured problem solving skills and end product orientation
  • Ability to work flexible hours for participating in multi-continent teleconferences.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Fabless semiconductor work experience in a product development or foundry interface responsibility
  • German language proficiency & cultural awareness
  • Program management experience
