Your team designs and builds the hardware, software and networking technologies that power all of Google's services. As a Hardware Engineer, you design and build the systems that are the heart of the world's largest and most powerful computing infrastructure.

You develop from the lowest levels of circuit design to large system design and see those systems all the way through to high volume manufacturing.

Your work has the potential to shape the machinery that goes into our cutting-edge data centers affecting millions of Google users.

  • Work on camera new technology and prototype sample development.
  • Collaborate with camera related software team to develop driver or features or algorithm based on the prototype sample and optimize camera hardware design.
  • Execute camera module and component characterization and image quality measurement for camera component survey and IQ benchmark.
  • Develop image quality automation equipment in C# or Python.
  • Minimum qualifications :

  • Master's degree in Optics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Experience with camera technology and the relation to image quality metrics.
  • Preferred qualifications :

  • PhD in Optics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Experience with camera technology including image sensor, optics, and actuator design.
  • Experience with characterization of camera module and the sub-components, including image sensor, actuator or lens.
  • Experience with quantitative and objective camera image quality metrics and benchmark.
  • Experience with C, C#, or Python for automation build up, driver porting, and imaging algorithm development.
