As a Hardware Intern, you will work on our core Consumer Hardware products. Depending on your background and experience, you will be working in one of the following areas :
As an Electrical Hardware Engineer, you will design, develop and deploy next generation consumer hardware. You will define board layout constraints and requirements, oversee physical engineering design layout, and work cross-functionally on system integration.
You will also work cross functionally with mechanical design, operation, and product to deliver systems to production.
As a member of a fast-paced multi-disciplinary team, you use your creativity and diverse range of engineering experience to explore solutions to a variety of engineering problems.
As a Mechanical Engineer, you participate in the design, analysis, and prototyping of new concepts. You work in a manufacturing and product oriented development environment and collaborate with vendors and outside sources in order to see parts through to manufacture.
As an Antenna / RF Engineer and designer, you will join the development of the latest system technology. You use your fundamental knowledge and ability to create the design, improve the current design and co-work with teammates.
You will create a design with system consideration, and have an opportunity to implement into commercial product.
As a Multimedia Engineer, you will design and develop the hardware either for optical applications (camera and display) or for audio applications (microphone and speaker).
Multimedia is the heart of interaction between user and device. You will not only work on component level, but will need to integrate it into the system and to collaborate with other function teams to provide a comprehensive interaction experience to customers.
You will also collaborate with software team to leverage the powerful software resource in Google to make our hardware outstanding and superior.
Silicon Engineer (Design / Verification / Performance Architect)
As a Silicon Design / Verification Engineer or Silicon Performance Architect Engineer, you'll be part of a Research and Development team.
Silicon Design / Verification Engineer your responsibilities will include developing micro-architecture, designing silicon IPs, building verification components, constrained-random testing, end-to-end system testing, and verification closure.
Silicon Performance Architect Engineer your responsibilities will include developing architecture models, analysis tools, building simulation infrastructure, and driving architectural decision of our silicon products.
