The CMP Dept. Manager is responsible for directing a team of engineers to advance Micron’s latest DRAM technology for manufacturing Fab startup and volume ramp.
You will develop a strong business relationship with all CMP teams within the Micron DRAM Network : Japan, USA, Taiwan, and Micron Central Engineering Team.
Complete all required safety training and ensuring all work is conducted in accordance with Microns safety policies.
Manage, measure, and monitor DRAM technology transfer project to ensure deliverables and schedules are met.
Partner with Process and Equipment Engineering , Process Integration Engineering , R&D, and Fab Leadership to close gaps to meet technology qualification and volume manufacturing ramp
Define alignment of projects and programs to meet milestones for startup, yield, quality and ramp
Develop project plans and associated communications material / plan
Improve CMP processes and equipment to drive team achievement of the yield goal.
Work closely with other process teams to improve the Fab processes and equipment to meet the yield goal.
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders module / division engineering teams, Micron DRAM network
Responsible for creating and driving a performance plan for each employee with a formal annual review
Inform each member of your team of their job expectations, and hold them accountable to the expectations
Meet regularly with each employee to work on clarifying expectations, developmental plans / execution
Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members
Instruct CMP Team Members on incoming processes, hardware and conversions
Proven ability to communicate and present technical material effectively
Proven ability to provide clear direction and conduct performance management of your team
Advanced understanding of SPC principles
Advanced data extraction, analysis, and reporting skills
Proven time management, organization, and prioritization skills
Demonstrated strong partnering and team building skills
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex problems and address root causes
Advanced structural and CMP equipment knowledge
Proven ability in proactive problem solving, taking accountability and open communication
Proven ability to solicit feedback, accept input and analyze success / failure.
Proven ability in the use of potential problem analysis or FMEA to guide critical decisions
Education and Experience :
BS, MS, or PhD in a technical field or equivalent experience. Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
Mandarin and English proficiency required
