As a Metrology / RDA Engineer in MTB, you have theopportunity to work with a cross functional team from differentareas of the plant.

You will meet regularly with the process areasto understand their tools and processes so as to create measurementrecipes that can provide quick and accurate feedback on the productintegrity, thus ensuring quality output.

As technology advances,you will be constantly challenged with the need to innovate fornewer, faster and better modes of monitoring.

Besides working withthe process areas, you will also liaise with vendors to explorebest known methods to maintain high tool performance and embark onpossible ways of cost reduction to ensure our product retains itscompetitiveness in the market.

Additionally, you will be working ina clean / non-clean roomenvironment.

Responsibilitiesand Tasks

  • Enableproduction Metro / RDA needs.
  • Provide first levelof support for engineering requests, recipe maintenance, toolrecovery and basic troubleshooting of toolissues
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing,Equipment and Process Engineering teams to set daily priorities andenable efficient communication.
  • Provide supportand liaise with tool owners and vendors for long term downequipment, tool installation, relocation and upgrades, PreventiveMaintenance (PM) and / or Corrective Maintenance (CM) schedule ontools
  • Ensure all Special Work Requests (SWRs)are processed correctly and in a timelymanner
  • Collaborate with Production, Equipmentand Process Engineering teams to optimize tool maintenanceschedules and utilization
  • Partner with Process,Equipment Engineering and capacity teams to determinie samplingstrategy to meet Production, Process Control and Qualityrequirement
  • Monitor and ensure all Metro / RDAtool meet measurement and inspectionstandards.
  • Set up tool qualification criteria,implement, monitoring through Statistical Process Control(SPC).
  • Make decisions on how to address toolsand products that are out of control for established SPC rules forboth process and defect related issues
  • Developand manage projects designed to reduce cost, reduce toolmeasurement variability, improve availability, and find solutionsto ongoing problems
  • Partner with Process,Equipment Owners and vendors for equipment upgrades / enhancements toimprove tool performance
  • Perform periodicassessment, tool-to-tool matching and GR and R, etc. to ensure toolmeasurement accuracy.
  • Evaluation and enablenext generation tool to close metrologygaps.
  • Partner with the metrology / inspectiontool vendors to develop new hardware, software, andtechnologies.
  • Work with Manufacturing, Processand Equipment team on tool / productrequirements.
  • Perform tool evaluation andbuy-off
  • Seek and drive methodology breakthroughto improve efficiency in metro / rdafunction.
  • Drive process improvement through newrecipe creation that helps to provide accurate and faster feedbackto the line, thereby improving the confidence level of theproduct.
  • Participate in world-wide discussionsfor continuous improvement on the toolset(s) assigned across Micronsites.
  • Set up processes, design and implementprocess monitoring, controlmethodologies.
  • Establish business processstandards, specifications anddocuments.
  • Continuously Improve the ReactionMechanisms and Procedures based on feedback from the endusers.
  • Work with peer groups to test and vetnew Reaction Mechanisms and Procedures
  • Writeand publish reports that summarize projects, detection capabilityimprovements, manufacturing productivity and cost reductionwork.
