Cards & Loans Portfolio Management Head

The Head of Portfolio Management for Taiwan is a senior role responsible for driving the profitable growth of cards & loans business.

Citibank Taiwan is one of the largest unsecured businesses in Taiwan with over 2.5MM customers, with very profitable and high return dynamics.

The head of portfolio management is responsible for driving the growth of the business in all areas though the use of portfolio management tools, data analytics & marketing.

The position will also provide strategic direction to the Cards / Loans and consumer bank leadership team.

Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for the interest bearing cards instalment loans - EPP, RTE , Quick Cash etc
  • Responsible for effective management of the Rewards cost to keep the rewards attractive as well as financially viable
  • Responsible for the customer lifecycle engagement from early engagement, activation, proactive attrition, retention etc
  • Manage the effective credit line management strategy to drive the growth, customer satisfaction leveraging data analytics and in partnership with risk management
  • Responsible for core balance growth especially revolve balances
  • Responsible for growth in insurance Xsell to cards customers in partnership with insurance product team
  • Responsible for managing tight control environment for cards interest / late fees and other key regulatory expectations -
  • drive strong discipline of testing, ongoing monitoring

  • Close partnership with decision management & risk management to ensure the portfolio quality is well optimized and uses data analytics to have profitable growth
  • Manage multiple teams of Product & Portfolio Managers to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team
  • Manage strategic program roadmap, development, launch, and marketing to gain maximum benefit from each product
  • Supervise day-to-day product management for core products such as product delivery, client experience, and client communication strategies as well as help the team prioritize, negotiate, and remove obstacles to achieve business results
  • Drive client value propositions, positioning, segmentation, pricing, targeting, channel strategies, and competitive differentiation to achieve preferred status as a partner to Citi clients
  • Develop plans and execute functional strategies for a country, multiple countries, region, or business requiring coordination and integration across units as well as provide input into strategic decisions affecting job family or function within a region or business
  • Manage client and competitor market research, develop product innovation roadmap, and address fundamental trials of product commoditization to create an advanced set of solutions
  • Direct and oversee all aspects of program life cycle management including market demands, technology trends, and the competitive field
  • Drive towards to achievement of targets, product financial performance, revenue performance, and expense management goals as well as oversee identification and execution of opportunities and gaps business plans
  • Develop and communicate a business plan to approach the marketplace, and coordinate and implement team procedures, client problem resolutions and client management
  • Strengthening the ethics & control culture within the team
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
  • Qualifications :

  • 12+ years of relevant experience
  • Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, specialized analytics or related discipline
  • Strong experience in Credit cards & unsecured loans in portfolio management or loans
  • Broad and diverse function experience in marketing, risk management, acquisitions, product development and analytics
  • Ability to manage complex regulatory expectations
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Ability to drive a large direct team towards common goal and influence key stakeholders towards the business objectives
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree / University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
