Responsibilities
Synaptics is searching a Team oriented ASIC Product Engineer to support new product introduction and continuous care of mass production sustaining, yield monitoring and improvement during production.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate solid understanding of :
Wafer process and device analysis
Production and foundry management
MP sustaining and yield improvement
FACR / RMA analysis
Statistical data analysis and the usage of EDA tools
The responsibility will involve direct communication with design team, and the management of the ASIC supply chain vendors : Wafer foundries and Testing house.
Qualifications
BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Material Science or Chemical Engineering
3+ years of experiences in developing advanced CMOS process and device
Familiar with device characterization and 12 / 28 / 40 / 65 / 90 / nm wafer process (12 / 28 / 40nm is a plus)
Working with wafer foundry for NPI ramp, production sustaining and continuous yield improvement
To drive and deliver cost reduction plan including yield improvement and test time reduction cooperating with PE team.
Good understanding of semiconductor processes and the relationship with testing and failure mechanism
Strong data analysis skills including work efficiency in using EDA tools (dataPower / Exensio is a plus)
Good team work with cross functional team including Quality, Product testing and planning team
Good communication skills English
