Verizon Media's Business Analytics and Insights team is looking for a versatile data enthusiast with excellent business sense, outstanding analytical skills, proven ability to communicate analytical findings, and rich experience in big data processing.
We are responsible for providing fast, clean, and relevant data for key measurements and insights about the users of Verizon Media.

What you’ll be doing
Understand the Business and Data : Identify and manage projects that drive key business initiatives to deliver company strategic goals.
Discover insights into users, publishers, and products to identify business and user growth opportunities. Understand the underlying data systems and schemas that can inform these measurements.
Analysis & Action Plans : Conduct ad-hoc investigations and create ongoing dashboards and reports that provide analysis and commentary to explain business trends and market drivers.
Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with cross-market and cross-functional partner teams to conduct and drive action plans
Data Investigation & Troubleshooting : Experience at cracking complex business and analytical problems. In particular, experience in working with large data sets, developing data models / schemas, identifying and troubleshooting data discrepancies.
What you’ll need
BS / MS in quantitative field or equivalent experience. MS / MBA is a plus.
Demonstrated experience in business analytics, data analytics, or business intelligence.
Experience in developing and executing user growth / CRM strategies is a plus.
Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and business impact assessment skills.
Strong communication skill, multi-tasking management, proactive working attitude, and intellectual curiosity with an appetite to learn.
Experience working with large and complex data sets.
Strong data processing skills (e.g. SQL, R, Python) and familiarity with Excel / Google sheets.
Fluency in English language skills is required.
