Job Description :
Dell Networking Engineering is seeking a highly motivated and self-driven candidate qualified for the position of Sr. Principal Engineer to help design and build market leading Dell Switching Network.
The primary responsibility for this position is to provide technical leadership for the design and architecture of a complex networking Switching system, from 1 Gb / s to 400 Gb / s.
Requires individual who will collaborate within R&D Engineering hardware and software teams, on all matters related to datacenter and campus-
wide network switch systems and other technologies.
Skills & Responsibilities :
Demonstrated ability to be Lead Engineer for projects through all stages of Product Development.
Engage with customers and suppliers on product requirements, product introduction and support.
Form collaborations with ecosystem partners, drive new products and features.
Lead and support internal product development, qualification and testing efforts.
Help formulate vendor selection, management and procurement strategy.
Provides technical direction and leadership on technology issues. Performs technical risk assessments and ensures appropriate risk mitigation efforts are undertaken.
Understanding feature requirements and participating and / or leading technical reviews of new platform requirements documents, designs and test plans.
Working with internal and external design teams, testing new platforms and providing feedback on new product introduction.
Tasks include performance feasibility analysis, developing hardware architecture, writing hardware design documents, and prepare schematics.
Candidate must be able to carry design through concept and architectural reviews to final qualification and release to manufacturing.
Candidate must be able to work with production and customers to debug and sustain products in the field.
BSEE / MSEE with 12+ years of experience in Networking HW Product Development
Highly self-motivated with a strong multi-disciplinary background.
Knowledge of 1,10,100 and 400 Gigabit Ethernet MAC, NPU switch and PHY.
Experience with high speed interfaces and PCB layout.
Knowledge in Optical components, Power Supply Design, Analog circuit design, Digital circuit design, and Microprocessor implementation.
Technically proficient with PSPICE, CAD tools and Microsoft based programs. Additional experience includes magnetic, EMI thermal design and high speed signal design
