Position : B&R Quality Manager (APAC position)

Department : EL-IOQ-G Global Quality Spec. Gases

Legal Entity : Versum Materials Japan Inc.

Location : Tokyo, Japan

Report to : Head of Global Quality Spec Gases (in Korea)

Your role :

This position is responsible for managing and executing all quality activities for buy and resell(B&R) products which are manufacturing from suppliers in Asia.

The position requires developing and executing programs to ensure that the products and services provided by B&R suppliers continually improve and meet the expectations of our customers.

  • Manage and drive programs to align with and perform against our supplier quality management programs.
  • Measure and report complaints (from customer and supplier) issues. Drive for consistency with complaints and provide a consistent voice to customers.
  • Follow up customer complaints as well as supporting and coordination of customer requests.
  • This position will be the primary contact for any B&R suppliers related issues / concerns / etc. and directly reports to Head of Global Specialty Gases Quality
  • Key Responsibilities

  • Complaints / Supplier Notification Resolution
  • Customer Request / Survey / Satisfaction for B&R Suppliers / Products
  • Customer Audit Program (incl. 3rd Party Audits), if needed
  • Customer Quality Programs and KPI / Reporting
  • Customer OOC / OOT issues
  • New Source Qualification
  • Candidate Profile :

  • Bachelor degree in engineering, science, statistics, or related technical program
  • 8+ years relevant experience
  • Semiconductor Material Business (Spec Gases, Precursors, etc.) Experience (Must to have)
  • Wafer Fab Experience (preferred)
  • Quality Team / Works Exp.
  • QMS(Quality Management System) / Quality Tools(SixSigma, SPC / SQC, FMEA, RCA, etc.)
  • Flexible Time to cover different time zone
  • Customer Interfacing Exp.(preferred for Customer Quality Position, but in overall for all Q positions)
  • Language : Fluent in both English and Japanese. (On top of Japanese and English, Chinese or Korean language welcome.)
  • No Travel Restriction (approx. 25% overseas trip in normal time, mainly Asia - Japan, China, TW, Malaysia etc.)
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communication and strong presentation skills
  • Self motivated and self starter with the ability to work on multiple activities and projects in an organized and timely manner
  • Experience in Customer Interfacing Activities and understand customer expectation and requirements
  • Experience with problem solving and investigation methodologies, Statistical Analysis and Data Automation
  • Awareness of quality principles and tools such as quality engineering, reliability engineering, quality codes and standards
  • Applied experience with ISO management systems
  • Applied experience with SPC / SQC and statistical techniques(Minitab), MS Office Tool(Excel, Word, Power points) skills
