Essential Duties and Job Functions
This role will be responsible for direct management of regional sales functions and be responsible for management of Distributor companies across a larger territory.
The job holder is responsible for business developments in assigned sales function. When existing, deals with distributors in terms of distribution agreements and conditions, setting targets and business plans.
Works with product management to identify marketing needs and provides revisions on corporate marketing literature and medical strategies to meet local needs and provides these to distributors / sales forces.
Manages Gilead sales team and cooperate with distributors to ensure business objectives and targets are achieved. Plans forecasts, manages operating budgets and monitors expenses.
Develops and maintains good relationships with all key opinion leaders regional wide. Utilizes systems to monitor sales progress and success of marketing initiatives and action plans.
Represents company at professional events and promotes company products at such events. Forms, builds and extends profitable business relationships with key customers or accounts.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills
Must have a strong knowledge of the overall pharmaceutical industry with strong sales knowledge and excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills.
Is familiar with industry trends and remains current with competitor’s resources and practices.
Must be able to analyze moderately complex data and put together effective concise reports while meeting all deadlines.
Must be able to formulate and execute development strategy.
Must be able to build strong KOL relationships. Excellent analytical skills, and able to identify and understand complex issues and problems, and interpret information in a manner that provides appropriate recommendations to senior management is required.
Demonstrated ability to conceive, develop and implement multi-dimensional business plans. Must have a demonstrated ability to manage budgets.
Must have an in depth understanding of relevant marketplace for their role. Must be able to travel extensively as dictated by business need.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word. Must have basic conversational and written English.
BA or BS degree, preferably in the sciences or business related disciplines or a nursing qualification
Minimum 5-year experiences in pharmaceutical or relevant industry and which includes 1-2 year specialty care experiences.
