We are seeking a Professional Services Technical Analyst. This will be an exciting, challenging job with real responsibility and the possibility to work with some of the best technologists and financial minds in the industry in a startup entity within a thriving mature company.
The Professional Services Technical Analyst will work in a customer facing role to drive one of our global system implementations.
The ideal candidate will need at least 2 years technical experience gained in the capital markets industry working for a software vendor or consultancy.
Candidates will need to have strong Java development skills with experience building or supporting an enterprise application.
The ideal candidates will have an expertise in the support and / or implementation of a Front, Middle or Back Office System from a technical perspective and have a foundation in the support of Derivatives in one or more of the following : Foreign Exchange and Money Market, Fixed Income, Interest Rate Derivatives, FX Derivatives, Credit Derivatives, Equities and Equity Derivatives, Commodities and Commodity Derivatives.
Candidates with exposure to Clearing, Collateral & Securities Finance or Risk will also be considered. Responsibilities Work directly with customers to scope, gather, review, create, and implement their technical requirements.
Work in conjunction with the Calypso Project Manager to set and manage customer expectations around project timelines. The Analyst will be responsible to manage and communicate issues to customer and internal project teams.
Support customers with the development of their own internal project plan, including the identification of key setup and configuration tasks, scope considerations, timeline and scheduling, as well as resource requirements.
Assist developers in understanding the API required to extend or add data to the Calypso system, and to build interfaces between Calypso and external systems.
System installation, including Java JRE download and installation, relational database installation, data model installation and upgrade scripts, setup and configuration of event-
driven framework, configuration of real-time market data feed, etc. Work with the Calypso system and its users to test the implementation, achieve signoff (UAT), and continue to move the system toward go-
live. Responsible for training users on basic use of the system, new functionality, etc. Requirements Must have Calypso implementation experience from a technical perspective.
T. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The person in this role will spend significant amounts of time working hands-
on educating and training customers, and patience and will be a key to success. Strong GUI and server side development. Excellent object-
oriented analysis, design & development skills. Willingness and ability to travel frequently (up to 75%), as required. Why should you apply?
