About the Role :

This role will cover Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau, but may be required to cover other Asia countries on a project-basis and report to the Vice President, APAC based in Singapore.

This is a highly visible position that will define and execute the Payments and Identity strategy for Boku in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau.

You will be the key commercial interface; responsible to identify, engage, develop, on-board and manage new and existing partners, which include ( in order of priority)

  • carriers (CHT, TWM, FET, TStar, APTG, HKT, Hut3, ChinaMobile HK, Smartone) for Payment and Identity services
  • strategic merchants (Apple, Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Netflix, Spotify, Dazn, Tinder) for Payment and Identity services
  • eWallet partners (Linepay, Wechat pay, Alipay) for Payment services
  • Responsibilities :

  • Account Management Establish and manage strong relationships & rapport with key decision makers in carriers / eWallet partners / merchantsBecome key problem solver’ for partners in any matters related to Mobile Payments, Mobile Strategy or Identity.
  • Develop, manage and execute the sales pipeline from existing and new merchants for Payment and Identity services.

  • Local Management Manage local office and serve as the representative for Boku in Taiwan
  • Interact and communication : Working with APAC management to develop the Payment and Identity strategy in Taiwan, Hong Kong and MacauWorking with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, marketing), to identify and win new business from new and existing customers.
  • Act as the partners’ champion’ within the organisation, and Boku’s ambassador to partners.

    Qualification :

    Bachelor’s or higher degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing

    Experience :

  • At least 10 years prior experience in business development, business management, sales position, with demonstrable record of delivering or exceeding sales targets, from lead generation, through to revenue generation
  • Experienced self-starter with a customer-centric focus, an analytical mindset, and attention to detail.
  • Past experience with payments, mobile, e-commerce, website development, and digital technologies is strongly preferred.
  • Strong advantage if candidate has experience working at or with the Mobile Network Operators
