Product Marketing Manager

Responsible for pre-sales technical marketing programs for specific product(s) or product line(s) to establish, enhance, or distinguish product placement within the competitive arena.

Leads business and technical engagements for the product, work closely with technical teams to understand, explain and position the product to solve customer needs.

Support the development of effective sales collateral, differentiation modules, pricing and packaging strategies, competitive analysis, product roll out and positioning, and technical sales training.

Interacts with customers, sales, and Application Engineering teams and sets product business plans in the marketplace that maximize market share.

Makes technical presentations on the product(s) that communicate the value of Synopsys products and the benefits over the competition.

Creates and maintains technical presentation material, white papers, and other related collateral. Relevant experience in a technical marketing, solution sales role for semiconductor IP products in the high-tech industry.

Technical orientation and understanding of ASIC design process is important, understanding the value for every step in the ASIC development.

Requires technical understanding in MIPI, UFS, USB, Display protocols, their applications and use cases. Able to understand customer motivation, articulate advantages of existing products and define business models and future products that consist market advantage for the target applications.

Is an innovative energetic leader with a decisive style and attentiveness to current and future customer and market trends.

Proven ability to work in a matrix environment. Track record of successfully managing and growing product penetration into semiconductor markets.

Requires exceptional communication skills. Ability to work in collaborative environment, network with customers and eco-system influencers to drive product penetration.

Experience in the EDA industry is preferred. Typically requires a minimum of 5+ years of related experience. At this level, post-graduate coursework or knowledge base equivalent may be desirable.

Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to independently resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.

Understands customer wants and needs. Customarily exercises a high level of independent judgment and interpretation in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria to obtain results.

Frequently performs in project leadership role. Drives programs and business initiatives, tracks, reports progress and follow through.

Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and projects. Offers new solutions or direction and is able to encourage and motivate others to support new solution or direction.

May advise senior management on specialized technical or business issues. May coordinate activities of other personnel as a team lead.

Represents the organization as the principle contact on business unit and / or company-wide projects for products or markets under her / his responsibility.

Interacts with management, sales and senior external personnel on matters requiring coordination across internal groups.

Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.
