Yahoo! Search and Advertising Engineering team is looking for an experienced, self-motivated, and passionate software engineer to work on building the next generation Search UX & Native Advertising product.
Software Engineer with professional experience in backend system development, who is motivated by our mission and want to ensure that our Search product and Native advertising platform play a critical role in improving the experience of our users, publishers, and advertisers.
In this role you will independently research, plan, design, develop, test, and release software for new features and product enhancements, and revise and refine as required.
You will develop on top of real-time measurement frameworks and evaluate the impact of new features with Big Data technology.
You will directly work with product management, marketplace, and other outside organizations in an agile way where we ship frequently for making real impact to the users.
Your peer engineers and scientists will be in multiple locations and you will cooperate together in developing internationalization / localization features and deploying to global markets.
Minimum Requirements :
Master Degree in Computer Science or a related Engineering discipline.
Strong CS foundation, substantial understanding of data structures and algorithms.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
Solid C / C++ or Java programming skills.
Knowledge in Machine learning, IR or NLP is an advantage.
Big data know-how in Hadoop, MapReduce / Pig programming, SQL / NOSQL technologies desirable.
Familiar with Agile product development methodology desirable.
Experience in using or developing open source software is a plus.
Proactive attitude and problem solving skills.
Team player, good interpersonal and able to work independently.
