As an Audio Multimedia Tuning Engineer, you will be involved in the complete life cycle of the product including audio component selection, audio system design, digital signal processing (DSP) tuning, and manufacturing support.

You have expertise in the evaluation and implementation of codecs, amplifiers, microphones, and speakers.

  • Design of audio subsystem (Analog and digital audio circuit design to meet section requirements) and Participate in system design reviews.
  • Bring Pixel phone design to mass production by setting factory test requirements, assisting in software bring up, traveling on-
  • site to the manufacturer to ensure the design is built and tested successfully.

  • Validation testing to ensure performance and worst case analysis of circuits in area of responsibility.
  • Multimedia DSP tunings, voice recording, camcorder recording, and the speaker and headphone playback.
  • Work on the subjective testing results and audio quality improvement with the UX (User Experience) team.
  • Minimum qualifications :

  • BA / BS degree in Engineering, Physics or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with audio amplifiers, Audio CODEC, DSP circuits and operations.
  • Experience working with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and the audio analyzers.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Preferred qualifications :

  • Experience with Matlab, or Python coding skills to develop automated test tools for objective audio testing.
  • Experience in acoustics design, microphone, and speaker characterization and testing.
  • Knowledge of the sound mixed engineering, Stereo recording, Binaural recording, and Spatial recording, etc.
  • Knowledge of using the smart amplifier of Cirrus Logic or Texas Instruments etc.
  • Knowledge of audio analysis software, Adobe Audition, and also familiar with audio DSP algorithms (Digital filter, and DRC etc).
  • Ability to use the industry standard schematic capture tools and Layout implementation of responsible subsection.
