Manages account activity of OEMs, ODMs, and CMs, in an assigned territory, in conjunction with APAC Country Manager; designs in, promotes and sells Central's discrete semiconductors and services.
This is a remote, in-territory position; the ideal applicant will reside and work in Taiwan. Applicants who reside and work in Singapore or India will also be considered.
Extensive travel within the territory is required.
Provides information on Central's products to customers (engineers, procurement, etc.), demonstrating clear technical understanding of products and the semiconductor industry.
Identifies target accounts and markets, in conjunction with distribution partners, APAC Country Manager, Sales & Marketing Management, and others.
Maximizes Central's market penetration of assigned territory to achieve territory revenue, design win (DW), and new product request (NPR) targets.
Routinely contacts existing customers in assigned territory directly and through extended sales channel to introduce new products, and to help solve customers' problems.
Regularly travels in assigned territory to visit existing and prospective customers.
Develops rapport with engineers and other technical personnel at customers and potential customers, to promote products and semi-custom solutions into new product designs, including reference designs.
Tracks customers' project timelines for new designs to ensure timely follow-up and design-ins.
Maintains required CRM systems by entering opportunities, DWs, design losses, competitive information, quotations, and other data.
Works together with internal Customer Relationship Managers and others to coordinate sales efforts, resolve customers' problems and manage customer-related issues.
Works with APAC Country Manager to monitor activities of customers through franchised distributors and representatives in assigned territory.
Keeps APAC Country Manager informed of items of significance, problems, and frustrations in assigned territory on an ongoing basis.
Staffs booth at designated Trade Shows.
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
A BSEE degree or equivalent from a college or university; and a minimum of 7 years sales experience in the semiconductor industry;
or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, including superb presentation skills to all levels of management.
Fluency in English, Taiwanese, and strong language skills in simplified and traditional Chinese is required; knowledge of other APAC languages such as Japanese, Korean and Malay a plu s.
Solutions based sales experience as well as experience supporting industrial and HiRel applications. An MBA degree, experience selling discrete semiconductors, and experience with ISO9001 : 2015.
