A challenging and exciting opportunity as a Business Manager has become available to join our growing business. You will have business and operational responsibilities for Macquarie Capital's business in Taiwan and the opportunity to work on projects across the region.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer of Macquarie Capital in Asia / Middle East and the Head of Macquarie Capital Taiwan, you will be an integral part of the regional Business Management team where you will work closely with the regional deal teams as well as related business and support units throughout Macquarie including accounting, tax, legal & compliance, human resources, the Deal Management team and administration.
Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in the management and monitoring of Macquarie Capital Taiwan issues related to accounting, deal management and administration.
This includes working with other regional business managers and liaising with other key people responsible for these areas both regionally and at the head office.
You will ensure that issues are resolved and the appropriate skilled people are involved in resolution.
You will also assist in the oversight of financial management requirements for Taiwan and report to the head office on various items such as strategic initiatives, projects, revenue and deal pipeline management.
You will also discuss transactions that are new and completed and deal with accounting, tax, legal and compliance issues, expense review and analysis, staffing and recruitment and any additional ad hoc administration issues.
You will also be responsible for the implementation of appropriate control processes and frameworks as agreed with relevant stakeholders including the business operational risk manager, and you will be the business contact for all financial statements and audit requirements.
You will also oversee the local support staff in Taipei and sign-off all office space changes such as expansion and relocation.
You will also work with the regional business management team on regional projects and presentations.
You will be a well organised self-starter who can manage a range of competing priorities and projects and have excellent numeracy, presentation, communication and people management skills.
You will also have the ability to think strategically, work well in a team and have strong trouble shooting skills with the ability to develop innovative solutions to problems.
