Senior Engineer - Product Job Description Working with Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, Packaging, Procurement and Sales teams, this person will : Dispensers-
Lead projects to ensure the quality of existing dispenser systems and adherence to design specifications.
Lead delivery system development projects that deliver new benefits for customers in the region.
Partner with internal and external development teams to design, prototype, test solutions that improve the customer experience in delivery systems.
Track customer complaints and lead customer facing technical support for advanced problems.
Develop robust timelines and manage budgets.
Plan and carry out project responsibilities with limited assistance and direction.
Communicate and document project plans and results to key stakeholders.
Document and protect intellectual property Packaging-
Deliver innovative, cost effective packaging solutions which minimize cost, add value to the customer and show strong progress on sustainability for KC and our stakeholders.
Recommend and lead packaging development programs that reduce distribution cost or damage, or provide competitive advantage.
Identify manufacturing and packaging vendor footprint within the region.
Partner with internal and external manufacturing sites to identify packaging and distribution requirements.
Partner with internal and external teams to locate and catalog distribution palletization specifications, packaging artwork assets and CAD drawings.
Establish and maintain working relationships with packaging supplier base.
Integrate and support global graphics initiation and approval process.
Identify / develop / maintain specifications for corrugated, carton board, paper wrap and film structures within the global IPS specification system.
Identify / develop / maintain packaging standards / BOM’s within the global IPS specification system. Basic qualifications
A Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a related major scientific field or engineering discipline from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a variety of technical assignments
Ability to communicate in English verbally and in writing with cross-functional teams and leadership globally
Demonstrated ability to organize and drive projects to completion within required timeframes
A track record of strong project leadership capabilities Preferred qualifications
Experience with design and commercialization activities related to plastics and injection molding.
Customer facing technical support experience
Experience with design and change controls
Experience in quality systems and design for manufacture practices
Experience working cross-functionally with business unit marketing and sales teams on a global basis
Experience working with 3rd party vendors
Understanding of packaging supplier's printing and converting processes
Knowledge of and experience with industry standard test procedures for packaging materials and packages.
Understand correlation of final art to package design.
