As an Embedded Software Engineer on Google’s Pixel team, you will have the opportunity to pioneer, develop and build out our footprint in consumer hardware / software.
You will design and develop the next generation of media features and build amazing products that contribute to the Android Pixel ecosystem.

Work on Linux kernel to develop video drivers for Pixel devices.
Work with Android multimedia platform team, Pixel system software team and ISVs to design, implement, and support multimedia features for current and future Pixel devices.
Minimum qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience.
3 years of development experience within embedded systems / firmware design.
Coding experience in C or C++.
Preferred qualifications :
MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
Experience in modern video codec (HEVC, VP9, AV1) algorithm, Android media framework.
Experience with Unix / Linux environments and the development of Linux device drivers.
Knowledge of one or more of the following : embedded systems development / firmware, operating systems, device drivers, ARM, x86 assembly, system BIOS or hardware / software integration.
Experience with media stack, including (but not limited to) decoders, encoders and / or performance tuning of media stacks.
