What You'll Do
You will be a silicon product engineer in the Component Quality and Technology team (Supply Chain Operations), who will partner with Cisco’s silicon and system design and development engineers in the Central Hardware Group, and Cisco’s component suppliers to improve manufacturing yield and test coverage for silicon proto bring-
up and production. The scope of work will cover Cisco’s network processors, transceivers, and 2.5D SIPs (system in a package).
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive constant yield improvements, that will be enabled by defining manufacturing test and test data requirements for Cisco designed components and.
You will provide oversight for Cisco's component suppliers to implement creative and leading-edge testing to enable high test coverage and debug-
ability on the ASIC on ATE and in system. You will be required to specify patterns to cover any perceived test gaps, collaborate with test engineering to bring these patterns up on ATE, correlate ATE test data to system fails and oversee that the patterns are added into the manufacturing test flow.
You should also have the capability to write and revise test programs on 93000 test platforms. A further capability is to be able to specify requirements for hardware / test fixturing for all device types that enable yield improvements.
Your role will include defining characterization plans and generating characterization reports, defining production screening guard-
band specifications based upon design intent and characterization results, and helping to transfer new tests and test programs into full manufacturing release by collaborating with suppliers and offshore manufacturing personnel.
Your additional responsibilities include manufacturing sustaining support on Cisco’s integrated circuits.
Your role will also be to drive component failure analysis, containments, and root cause corrective actions and to work with development / manufacturing engineering and management representatives to resolve complex technical problems.
You will specify data collection and analysis for adaptive testing and work with Cisco suppliers on pertinent analyses.
An additional skillset is to manage product qualification and burn in testing to Jedec specs, including writing qualification and burn in test plans, and performing root cause corrective action on qualification fails.
You should have proven ability to perform statistical data / yield / correlation analysis on large data sets from wafer sort to system final test to find yield issues and apply root cause corrective actions to design and test teams.

You will collaborate with ASIC design teams in the Central Hardware Group, board / system and diagnostic hardware engineers in the various business units, and within Supply Chain Operations -
peer groups of DFT, component engineering and packaging in Component Quality and Technology team and New Product Introductions Engineers in Product Operations.
