Position Description

Our Global Banking & Markets division serves mid- to large-sized corporations and institutional clients worldwide. It is comprised of Business Banking, Global Commercial Banking, Global Corporate & Investment Banking, Global Markets and Wholesale Credit.

Aligned with these client-facing groups are Global Capital Markets and Global Research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Initially, activities are focused on financial and statistical analysis, development of client presentation, and structuring and execution activities.
  • As they develop their client relationship skills, start to assume business development or product advisory and specialist responsibilities.
  • Subject to the performance, open for stock coverage.
  • Within some business, may involve initial rotation through a number of product areas before permanent assignment.
  • Generally, these are individuals who received MBAs, or are high performing analysis who have completed the analyst program and were promoted into this position at its conclusion.
  • Key Requirements

    Typically assigned within the 2-3 year analyst program to Global Markets Research.

    Perform financial modeling and statistical analyses, conduct research, cover earnings and growth drivers, able to do the channel checks, company visit notes, daily headline write-

    up, short commentary and prepare support documentation and client presentation materials.

    Within some business, may rotate through a number of product areas for more summary exposure to the business rather than concentrating on a specific product area.

    Generally these individuals are campus hires or are lateral hires with equivalent qualifications.
