Purpose of the Position :
Oversee end to end financials for the Gorilla® operation with primary focus on proper recognition of revenue, accuracy of goods valuation, and profit.
Operation scope includes $1B annual revenue and product produced at 4 Corning locations (3 Asia, 1 US) and 10+ contract manufacturing locations in Asia.
Partner with business leaders to make key operational business decisions for Gorilla operation; may engage and influence senior management in areas such as cost, product line management, new business model setup, tank platform strategy & planning, capital appropriation, raw material sourcing, and optimal production volume and inventory levels to maximize profit, manage risks, and deliver division financial targets
Own the accuracy and integrity of the financial statement for Gorilla business through month-end closing, variance explanation, and performance tracking.
Provide insight on the key business drivers to division controller and director of operations and recommendations for improvement.
Lead the team to partner with division FP&A, plant controllers, division controller and division senior leaders to form 5 year long term plan and annual budget plan for Gorilla business.
Lead and coordinate by setting targets and deliverables the effort across the division to carry out economic activities analysis to drive for lower cost options, improved efficiency and optimize capital investment.
Lead cross divisions and cross functional teams effort to achieve cost reduction initiatives for the Gorilla Glass. Effort includes setting targets and assigning accountability by location to deliver to expectations.
Plan, lead and facilitate division initiatives to improve day-to-day operations (e.g., finance, IT, business processes) to ensure financial accounting systems are maintained according to reporting requirements.
Manage external compliance engagements and partner with internal SMEs to resolve identified issues (e.g., external auditors, customer onsite visits)
Manages teams, conducts goal setting and performance appraisal processes to prioritize and align with overall company and function wide goals and objectives, coaches talent, and serves as an organizational resource
Bachelor Degree in Accounting / Finance, CPA & MBA preferred.
15+ years experience in Finance with minimum 5 years in management, preferably worked in a manufacturing environment and with FP&A experience.
