Role Summary / Purpose
Software Implementation Engineer is responsible for designing and developing interfaces between various end-point business applications using various Healthcare data standards like HL7, VNA, etc.
The person will be interacting with customers, internal stakeholders and other third-party vendors for requirements gathering, architecture and design discussions, development, testing and other activities.
Person will also be required to lead the team and own delivery responsibility.
Identifies and manages scope of changes based on client requirements
Supports testing, user acceptance testing, and implementation of PACS systems
Tracks and reports status of work assignments
Communicates issues and risks to manager or direct supervisor
Coordinate with customer and other stakeholders, gather and analyze requirements.
Design, develop, code, test and document interfaces of moderate to high complexity as per the requirements specifications.
Mentor and guide team on technology, frameworks, processes and ensure quality of deliverables.
Must be able to design and implement technical solutions in Integration technologies.
Must have experience with requirements gathering, analysis, design and development of HL7 and / or Batch interfaces.
Good knowledge of Healthcare Provider domain and data integration standards (i.e. HL7, CCD, DICOM, etc.).
Experience with handling customer and other third-party vendors effectively.
Must have problem solving ability to provide solutions to complex and new business problems.
Generate innovative ideas and apply them in implementing solutions.
Qualifications / Requirements
5 years of experience in designing and implanting data interfaces on any of the market leading Integration technologies such as NextGen Mirth.
5 years of experience in Healthcare Provider domain and standards (HL7, CCD, DICOM).
Experience in healthcare industry.
Domain knowledge of PACS, HIS / RIS, or healthcare verticals.
Ability to elicit, document, analyze, and verify requirements.
Ability to write clear and concise documentation.
Ability to handle multiple projects with varying priorities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Able to work within multiple groups of employees, willingly share time, knowledge and information with others.
Flexibility in working under demands and needs of a project.
Must be flexible with travel and overnight stays if required
Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Ability to effectively communicate technical impact, root cause, and corrective actions to team leads and management.
