THE ROLE :

AMD is looking for a dynamic, self-motivated, experienced Manager / Chief of Staff to lead the Server platform customer engineering team to work with customers for AMD’s ground breaking data center products.

The customer enablement team communicate with customers and AMD hardware development, firmware / BIOS, and system validation team to assist and address issues reported by customers.

This includes enabling partners with critical knowledge of AMD technologies and platforms, review customer platform design to drive the best design practices, and successfully scale AMD business.

The candidate must be highly motivated, innovative, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. He or she must be able to quickly analyze different scenarios to come up with the best approach to tackle tough problems.

  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skill is a must
  • A successful candidate must be curious, self-driven, collaborative, and a strong teammate with technical leadership as well as hands-on skills to support optimal operations.
  • Must be proactive, and have excellent collaboration, team leadership, communication, project management, and organization skills.
  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Lead cross-functional projects : define project issues / scope, set up project team and work module, develop strategic options, and communicate results to executives
  • Use process rigor and effective cross-functional collaboration to ensure delivery of results
  • Rely on problem solving skills, market and competitive intelligence, technical understanding to buttress strategy
  • Engage with customers and potential value chain partners to gather intelligence, implement strategy, and drive ecosystem growth
  • Support in critical strategic and operational decisions through analysis and communications support
  • Represent and / or partner with the management in select internal, cross-functional and / or external meetings
  • Analytic ability to address technical and non-technical issues and generate creative solutions
  • Engage directly on key technical topics with internal teams, and steer of multi-party discussion to convergence
  • Align with cross function teams with emphasis on driving technical enablement / communications, technical support, and issue resolution
  • Drive for highest levels of customer satisfaction
  • PREFERRED EXPERIENCE :

  • Experience in the computing industry or technology provider level
  • Experience team managing and delivering programs
  • Experience in team building across multiple geos
  • ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS :

    BS or MS in Electronic Engineering or CS (or relative engineering fields)
