Manager, Public Policy (Taiwan) will run public policy (government relations) activities for part of the Taiwan business and report to the Director, Hong Kong / Taiwan Public Policy, located in Taipei.

Responsibilities include :

  • Identifying, developing, and prioritizing, with the Taiwan business and the Director, Hong Kong / Taiwan Public Policy, the public policy goals and issue positions for Taiwan;
  • Helping develop the strategy and tactics for accomplishing the public policy goals;
  • Representing public policy positions before government agencies,
  • Hiring and managing external consultants as needed.
  • Excellent public policy and political judgment;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Chinese;
  • Ability to function autonomously and communicate laterally and upwardly with ease;
  • Ability to deal effectively with a broad range of public policy matters;
  • Exceptional public policy, government relations, and business judgment;
  • Ability to function well in situations involving significant uncertainty and ambiguity; and
  • Managerial experience with small self-directed teams.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in information technology-related (IT) advocacy and public policy development. Knowledge of regulatory requirements in verticals (e.

    g. Public Sector, Finance, Health Care, or Telecom) or data related innovation agendas is a plus. At least 8 years of experience on public affairs in a major multi-national corporation or governmental / semi-governmental institutions in Taiwan.

    Position is based in Taipei, with occasional domestic and international travel required.
