Customer Technologist (CTO)
This is a senior role in the Device Interface organization with technical over-sight and accountability of a Technology roadmap and capability development to support high complexity custom ATE DIBs and Probe Cards.
Be the technical expert, "go to" person for all design and manufacturing process knowledge, technical recommendations, and tradeoffs to best achieve the customer requirements.
Collaborate with the HW Business Chief Technologist to develop and execute a technology roadmap with especially focused to the strategic customer needs.
Lead key technology development projects from concept to release to production. Establish Teradyne as the leading technical capability supplier.
Interface with the Customer HW engineering and Applications engineers including upstream engineers. Ability to collect the customer technical requirements, and translate them into actionable development plans for Teradyne.
Expert in Device interface design and manufacturing. Good working understanding of ATE applications.
Overall technology roadmap execution specific to strategic customer
Roadmap implementation : execute projects to move ideas from prototype to production.
Transfer of new technology / applications to Design project team
Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education Required
Technical management : >
5 years with track record of increasing scope of responsibility for project development and delivery
Soft skills : Strong communication, technical presentation, and requirements gathering. Ability to influence the customer and internal organization to achieve the technical strategy.
Organization : demonstrated project process discipline to achieve on time execution with high quality and performance.
10 years of PCB design and / or process development
2 years of MLO design and / or process development
Experience with PCB assembly and component management (selection and sourcing)
Applications : strong understanding of ATE apps for MAP, RF, or PMIC
Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Masters in Electrical Engineering or equivalent a plus
