Provide analysis and reporting of results for plant to liaison between the business and division. Ensures compliance with local regulations, GAAP accounting principles and Corning policies and procedures.
Responsible for delivering monthly close information and providing cost-related analysis including posting of vouchers and accuracy of the general ledger ensuring that required reporting is completed accurately / timely.
Provides ad-hoc financial analysis and project support for management. Optimally leverages the use of Corning’s financial applications (i.
e. Khalix, PeopleSoft) to deliver financial reporting and analytical deliverables. Responsibilities including :
Assists with monthly financial closing and actual reporting.
Assists with managing the monthly / quarterly / semi-annual financial consolidation and reporting.
Responsible for preparation of plan financial forecast for plant / division review
Preparation for and submission of the Black Book and Green Book
Monitors spending and reports financial performance to management and highlights variances that need corrective action.
Drives corporate finance process improvement / streamlining of processes.
Provides financial analysis related to capital projects, strategic investments, cost reduction, and other initiatives as required.
Ensures processes are completed in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley / policies.
Assist with opportunity and risk assessments. Required skills including :
Experience : 3 5 Years in accounting field, especially in manufacturing industry. CPA firm experience is preferred
Language : Fluent in verbal and written English
Education : Bachelor degree in Accounting or higher
Strong Excel and Power Point skills
