Investment Sr. Manager


  • Develop investment strategy and action plans to maximize investment effectiveness
  • Evaluate and review asset allocation, risk budget, investment strategy, and other investment decisions on an ongoing basis to ensure optimal performance.
  • Lead or Manage the outside counterparties - asset managers and custodian
  • Oversee investment manager performance and compliance including taking any corrective actions in instances of investment managers under performance.
  • Oversee the investment process and liquidity management
  • Research capital market and investment industry
  • Communicate with HK regional office and US headquarters on investment related issues
  • Lead, develop, evaluate and implement internal controls and regulation compliance over investment management
  • Manage NII for planning and forecast process
  • Develop detailed annual budget for the Investments team and all investment-related activities, track expenditures vs. budgeted amounts throughout fiscal year, reduce or request increases to budget mid-fiscal year as needed
  • Review and finalize regulatory reporting and disclosures
  • Regularly provide investment performance summaries to CFO and ALCO
  • Manage investment reporting, regulatory reporting and disclosures
  • Co-work with Product Development team on variable funds in separate account
  • Product sign-off member for IB filings, involves product development and review committees
  • Work with finance team on cash flow arrangement
  • Implement hedging strategies including FX hedge manager selections, ISDA negotiation and procedures etc.
  • Regulation filing preparation
  • Carry out any others tasks assigned by management
  • Arrange Ad-hoc meeting for investment opportunities or others
  • Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in investment
  • Experience in investment of proprietary assets in multi-national companies or life insurance companies is a big plus
  • In-depth knowledge of Taiwan capital markets
  • Knowledge of investments operation processes and market structure
  • Familiar with the Taiwan regulatory requirements on local and oversea investments, and capable of communicating or supporting in meeting these requirements
  • Strong communication skill in both English and Chinese to manage the relationship with 3rd parties
  • Strong skill-sets to analyse issues and diagnose risks accurately required
  • Effective use in MS software especially in excel and power point preferred
  • Project management
  • Strategic thinker with strong business and financial acumen
  • Strong drive for results and excellence
  • Analytical ability and logical thinking
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in both Chinese and English (must)
  • Related professional degree / license such as CFA, CPA (preferred)
