Thermal Principle Engineer - Workstation
Leads efforts of internal and external thermal development teams in all development project activities
Conducts thermal feasibility studies for new projects leveraging existing designs while also generating new designs and IP
Through understanding of the thermal / mechanical development process and expert in planning and executing associated development activities.
Leads thermal development activities with minimal supervison on the most complex devices, subsystems and components.
Provides design guidance and solutions for difficult thermal issues.
Supports and influences integration of thermal strategy across techincal deiciplines internally and externally.
Leads and directs across products, technical disciplines and core teams on all thermal issues.
Drives consistency and thoroughness
Viewed internally and externally as a thermal technology and tools expert (FloTherm, ProE, Solidworks)
Advanced knowledge and understanding of manufacturing driven design issues
Advanced ability to read and understand complex drawings as well as 3D database
Advanced understanding of thermal technologies, vendor products, and competitor’s offerings
Advanced understanding of using 3D CAD and FloTherm thermal simulation tools
Advanced ability to read and understand technical data sheets.
Fluent in English language (verbal and written)
Education and Experience
Typically requires 12+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree, or 8+ years with a Master’s degree, 5+ years with a PhD, or equivalent experience.
